Sailing for the Leukemia Cup

Editor’s Note:  Gary and Chris McGraw have gone on several ocean cruises with the Eastman Sailing Club and WLSC.  Gary worked at Eastman and now lives on Dewees Island near Charleston SC.

Dear Friends and Fellow Sailors

Thanks to your generous support, we’ve had multiple excellent fundraising years sailing as Team Tartan in the Washington DC Leukemia Cup.  Last year Commodore Chris (recently promoted) led us to 3rd place overall in fundraising and a record $8600 raised.

We’re sailing again this year—shooting for our fourth Leukemia Cup victory in a row.  We would be honored and pleased if you chose to donate to our cause again.  We’ve upped our fundraising goal to $9000 this year, so if each of our supremely magnanimous donors bumps 10% we should clobber our goal.  Or heck, bump 100%! The link below goes to our sailboat’s page …

We sail in memory of Nancy, Ann Myers, and all other victims of blood cancer.  We’ll proudly wear the red caps we have accumulated over the years. And we will once again sail in kilts if we reach our fundraising goal.  100% of your donation will go to fight the disease.

Fair winds to us all, Captain Gary “O.F.A.S.”
