Nov 3rd Fall Meet, Awards, and Pirate Feast! Please RSVP

Greetings Sailors!

Prepare to sharpen your hook, shine your peg leg and dust off your tri-corner hat as you get ready for our annual Fall Dinner Meeting, to be held on Saturday, November 3rd at 6:00 P.M. at the Ole Barn Restaurant off I-26 between Johnson City and Erwin.

This year’s meeting will feature a Pirate’s Feast and I encourage everyone to join in the fun by wearing proper pirate or otherwise nautical attire!!!  The Ole Barn will be serving a family style meal, including several meats and vegetables, bread, beverage and dessert.  They do not serve alcohol, but you may bring your own!  The cost of the meal will be approximately $20 per adult and $10 per child 11 and under (this includes tax and tip). For those of you coming from Boone, the restaurant is approximately 20 miles further than the marina.  For more info on the restaurant,

Following Club tradition,  we will hold our fall business meeting following dinner.  We will discuss any old or new business and elect officers for the upcoming year.  We are still finalizing our slate of officers…if you would like to nominate someone (including yourself!), please let me know as soon as possible.  You can find a list of officers and their duties on pages 7 & 8 of our Constitution & By-Laws on our website:

To conclude the meeting, we will be handing out racing awards as well as recognition to others who have made this year such a success for our Club!

For planning purposes, please RSVP to me as soon as you know whether you can attend.  I’d love to see EVERYONE there!

Commodore Gayle
